Resonances, for a solo percussion player and live electronics, is an open set of composed activities and listening cues that create dynamic situations for interactions between the performer, sounds and resonances. Like the performer, the electronics part also listens, acts, remembers and reacts: it is interactive and composed from sounds and resonances made during a performance.
The duration of Resonances will vary in performance, usually lasting ca. 12 minutes.
The work was written for and dedicated to Joe Bricker, who gave the premiere in Buntrock Hall, Chicago, on May 11, 2022.
